Country View Estates:
The main attraction here is the 180 degree lakeview of Kalamalka Lake. Every home has a million dollar view but you can enjoy at a fraction of the price. Not to many units come available here, and when they do they sell. They are a private run community that is very immaculate. Although it is 55+ there can be some variation if one person is near the required age. Units are not permitted to be rented out. Access is off Rawsthorne road and it is right in the middle of Lake Country and Vernon. Oyama is right below. Although there is no commercial amenities nearby, people here don't mind at all as that's only 5 minutes away with the new highway or Vernon is only 20 minutes north.
Hidden right behind the Tim Hortons at the corner of Hwy 97 and Oceola Road (the 1st set of lights in Lake Country if you are arriving from Vernon). Pinecrest is a privately owned park and only has a handful of units, one side is older units, ones closer to the lake are newer. Small pets are ok, many enjoy the area and the new turtle crossing will have many shops and restaurants within walking distance.
This is a brand new bare land strata community that targets the adult 45+ group. Here the difference is that the homes are more traditional and are in a regular looking neighbourhood. Still in its development stages it promises to offer everything but the pool guy, you can choose a new floorplan or perhaps get into a barely used home. Prices start in the low 400s and properties have many options such as geothermal heat. Located in the center of the "Lakes" simply follow the road up the hill from Tim Hortons until you get to the the entrance of the area.
This is a well kept professionally managed park. Located just North of the Kelowna airport and before Winfield (off Commonwealth Road) it indeed is a MFH area, however units #109 and up are strictly reserved for the 55+ age group. Most are original owners and lawns are well kept and the area is presentable in fashion. RV parking, pets and the pad fee includes yard waste, garbage, recycling and community well water. Land is secured with a lease to 2027 with likely hood of extension.

A favorite of many, this area is hidden among the central sprawl of Kelowna. These homes are considered a hybrid and most consider them to be a stick built home. At least 4 floorplans are available. This is a 55+ zone and they have lawncare done for you at an extra fee. There is a recreation centre and an RV compound. There are many units here and a network of roads, once inside your guests may need to consult the map prior to locating your home, as the community has two addresses due to the size.
Age restricted starting at 19+ a bit more variety but this is a favorite with 55+ buyers. Reason is that it is clean, immaculate and most of the properties have views overlooking the North end of Kelowna. It is near the airport but situated up on the hill and is at the end of a road, so the only traffic is your neighbours. It is a quick drive to the store and Lake Country or Kelowna is right around the corner. Beautiful Mill Creek park is nearby. 2 Pets are allowed and this is a strata. Many homes are of various design but are well priced.
